TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRES

The Ards Borough has so much to enjoy whether you are a visitor or if you live here!

There are two Tourist Information Centres (TIC's) based in the Ards Borough - Ards Tourist Information Centre is open year round, whilst Portaferry Tourist Information and Visitor centre is a seasonal office, open from Easter until the end of August.

Ards Tourist Information Centre has a "learning zone" which provides information support for students, schools and colleges on tourism, history and heritage of the Borough. Staff are available to provide presentations for your school, college or group - please contact us for further information. We are also home to "The Space" a newly created exhibition area featuring a variety of local history, photography, craft and other exhibitions throughout the year. Portaferry Tourist Information and Visitor Centre is home to the Loft Gallery and the well established "Art in the Loft" exhibition series which showcases the work of a wide range of artists, craftspeople and designer makers from the Borough and beyond. As part of the exhibition series, we also offer a range of workshops. Further information on the programme is available from either Tourist Information Centre.

There is also a Local Information Office (LIO) based in Pier 36 Bar and Restaurant, Donaghadee. Information can be picked up in the entrance hall. Pier 36 is open from 11-11pm, telephone 028 9188 4466.

As you travel around the Borough you will find Tourist Information Points dotted around in various restaurants, cafes, attractions and accommodation premises. You can pick up a wide range of our visitor guides to help with your visit.
