POLICY & RESOURCES COMMITTEE

The Policy & Resources Committee meets on a monthly basis but is not open to the press or public.

From 7th June 2007 and the introduction of a new structure, three sub-committees (Rates, Service Delivery Improvement Group and Special Projects and Events) now also report through the Policy & Resources Committee. It has also absorbed the remit of the former Ways & Means Committee.

Its remit is to consider:

 matters regarding Council policy

 budgetary/financial matters

 requests for financial assistance

 disposal and acquisition of land/right of way matters

 registration of society lotteries

 staffing matters
