Councillor Williams held the position of Mayor in the year 2005-06. He was Chairman of the Council's External Affairs and Planning Committee, 2006-07, and is the Council's representative on the NI Housing Council. He is also a founder and Director of 'Christians Providing Care' working with young people who are vulnerable in society and their families, also supporting projects in Romania and Russia.
