Councillor Smith was elected in May 2011. Having worked in the retail and service sectors, he is particularly interested in making sure Council and Government services are putting the needs of people first. He has an interest in information technology and would like to see this employed both as a means to effectively inform people of what the Council is doing on their behalf, but also as a way to listen to what the people of the Borough are saying.
