Councillor Naomi Armstrong-Cotter became a member of Ards Borough Council, in December 2010, following the resignation of Simon Hamilton. She was then elected to the Council in May 2011. A law graduate, she was formerly a civil servant and is now parliamentary aide to Jim Shannon MP, having worked for him for over 5 years. Councillor Armstrong-Cotter is also a volunteer youth worker and fund-raiser both locally and abroad.
