Councillor Kennedy was elected to the Council in May 2011 and for the past 13 years has worked in politics as a special advisor, senior aide and currently as a senior constituency caseworker for the DUP party leader. He has a keen interest in genealogy and local history, specifically the impact of the Scottish settlement on the area.
