COUNCIL SERVICES COMMITTEE

The Council Services Committee meets on a monthly basis and is not open to the press or public. All Councillors are members of the Committee and its current Chairman is Councillor Colville Elliott .

From 7th June 2007 and the introduction of a new structure, a number of sub-committees, partnerships and working groups now report through the Council Services Committee. It has also absorbed the remits of the former Leisure Services and Bonfire Committees.

Its remit is to consider the provision of certain Council services, inlcuding the functions of the:

 Chief Executive's Department

 Environmental Services Department (Technical Services, Environmental Health, Building Control)

 Leisure Services

 Bonfires
