PLAYING FIELDS AND BOWLING GREENS

The Council provides and maintains a wide range of high quality playing fields located in all parts of the Borough with pitches suitable for all types of sports, including soccer, hockey, tennis and bowls. Surfaces range from natural grass to synthetic and all weather pitches.

These playing fields include:

Ballygowan
Moss Road (2 senior grass pitches and changing units)

Ballywalter
Springvale Road (2 tennis courts)
Well Road (senior grass pitch and changing units)

Cloughey
Calhame Park (senior grass pitch and changing units)
Main Road (1 synthetic bowling green, 2 tennis courts and pavillion)

Comber
Comber Leisure Centre (The centre has extensive facilities, including a full-sized, sand-based hockey pitch with flood lights and four flood-lit synthetic tennis courts)
Parkway (senior grass pitch, all weather hockey pitch and changing units)

Donaghadee
Cromellin Park (2 senior grass pitches, all weather hockey pitch and changing units)
The Commons (1 natural turf bowling green, 3 synthetic tennis courts and pavillion)

Greyabbey
Islandview Road (grass pitch and changing units)

Kircubbin
Kircubbin (senior grass pitch and changing units)

Newtownards
Ards Leisure Centre (full-sized, sand-based hockey pitch with flood lights)
Dairyhall (3 senior grass pitches, 4 tennis courts and changing units)
Londonderry Park (5 senior grass pitches, 2 all weather hockey pitches, 1 natural turf bowling green, pavillion and changing units)
West Winds (2 senior grass pitches and changing units)

Millisle
Abbey Road (2 senior grass pitches and changing units)

Portaferry
Ann Street (senior grass pitch and changing units)
Castle Park (1 natural turf bowling green)
Cloughey Road (senior grass pitch, gaelic pitch and changing units)
