MARKETS
A weekly Saturday Market is held in Conway Square, Newtownards and each year in September (normally 23rd), a Harvest Fair is also usually held.
The market and the Harvest Fair are operated on a franchise basis, with each subject to public tender every five years. Tenders are evaluated for value for money, the applicant's ability to demonstrate that they have read, understood and will comply with the tender specifications, past experience and an assessment of an accompanying business plan.
