ILLEGAL DUMPING

The Council has adopted a 'zero tolerance' attitude to illegal dumping across the Ards area and, whether it is one black bag left in a local beauty spot or a large quantity of material, will make every effort to identify the offender and to bring a prosecution.

A high level of enforcement action, together with the cooperation of local residents who are reporting incidents, is bringing a proportionate decrease in the number of illegal dumping cases.
