HUMAN RESOURCES
The Human Resources (HR) section, part of the Corporate Services Department, has a wide-ranging remit, covering recruitment and retention, equal opportunities, health and safety, training and development, employment legislation, occupational health, counselling and employee well-being, among other areas of work.
HR has a central role to play in the delivery of the Council's aim of being a best practice employer as well as an employer of choice and how the section will contribute to the achievement of the orgainsation's overall goals between now and 2009 is detailed in a Human Resources Plan, which is downlaodable below.
