EVENTS

Events have become a key element of the Council's tourism development portfolio and each year, the Ards area is building on its reputation for organising unique, quality events, like The Creative Peninsula, which showcases the wealth of artistic talent that abounds in Ards, the Festival of the Peninsula, when Ards joins with its counterparts in Scotland and Donegal to celebrate their shared history, music, art, literature and dance or Lough Lively, a week long celebration of Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula which showcases the beauty, history, culture, wildlife and array of activities in, on and around the Lough.

The Council will also provide event sponsorship and other support for event organisers, including an Events Guide, produced twice each year.
