BULKY WASTE COLLECTION SERVICE

The Council offers a 'bulky' waste collection service and will collect the following items:

White Goods - fridges, freezers, cookers, washing machines and other domestic appliances
Brown Goods - household furniture such as beds, mattresses, chairs, wardrobes, carpets etc.
Miscellaneous Items - bicycles, children's toys, prams and plastic coal bunkers.

However, not everything is covered by our collection service and we will not collect:

Garden waste, trees and hardcore
Material from building or DIY activity such as old windows, doors, bathroom suites and kitchen units
Boilers, radiators and oil tanks
Old garden sheds, old timber, fencing and dog kennels
Flagstones, kerbs and concrete posts
Black bags, packaging and cardboard boxes.

All of these items, with the exception of flagstones, kerbs, concrete posts and rubble, can be taken to one of our Civic Amenity Sites.

We cannot collect more than 6 items and we cannot collect anything which you leave out, but have not told us about. And remember to make sure our staff have reasonable access to your property. Each collection will cost £15 (including VAT) and must be paid in advance of the collection taking place. We cannot give a date or time for collections, but these will normally take place within one week.
