The Clubhouse includes bar, training, changing and showering facilities. There are current ambitious plan to redevelop and expand the facilities in the next 2 years The Club applied to the LSP in Ards for fundind of new boats and sailing equipment to increase the membership of the club and to encourage young people to participate in water sports in their local area. Home-Start is available for any family with at least one child under 5 years of age. The LSP in Ards have granted Home-start £60,000 to enable them to open and staff a Family Support Centre and Second Hand Baby Equipment shop in Newtownards town. Ganaway is owned by the Belfast Battalion of the Boys' Brigade and is available to non-BB youth groups and schools as well as BB units. In managing the centre the Boys' Brigade seek to provide a neutral and non-threatening environment and to encourage the development of responsible citizenship by facilitating activities to enhance self awareness, self esteem and an awareness of and respect for different cultures and beliefs. The Boys Brigade received £80,000 to bring no less than 750 additional visitors to the centre by December 2007, to provide single identity involvement for 10 groups in the Ards area and to support and lead 4 cross community programmes by December 2007.
