Pack Collection

To collect your pack you must give the race number given on your confirmation letter.
Your pack will include your number, timing chip and T-shirt.

Race number
Must be pinned using the pins provided to the FRONT of your running vest and is non-transferable.

Timing Chips
Your chip must be attached securely to one of your shoes through the shoe lace using the plastic tags supplied. Failure to wear the chip correctly will result in your time not being recorded for the race. Chips must be returned at the end of the race.

A large route map will be on display at the centre. Mileage markers, water stations and First Aid points will be clearly marked on the map.

Start
The race starts at Ards Leisure Centre.
All competitors must collect in the front car park at Ards Leisure Centre by 6.15pm. Competitors will then be called to the start line for a prompt 6.30pm start.
Walkers will be asked to line up behind those running the half marathon.

Finish
The finish line is at the leisure centre.
All finishers will receive a medal, bottle of water & packet of crisps and must return their timing chip at the end of the race. Those who have crossed the finish line should move away from the area and into the car park at the front of the leisure centre. Food and refreshments will be servied in the Sports Hall during the evening.

Changing, showering facilities and left baggage are available free of charge at Ards Leisure Centre.

Times and placings
Will be recorded for all finishers and posted on the notice board in the hall on the night.

Prize Presentation
Prizes will be awarded to the top five winners of the male and female open competition on the day. All other prizes will be posted out.

Sports Massage
North Down Physiotherapy will be available in the Sports Hall for a post race massage. Cost £5 for 10 minutes.

Medal Engraving
Trophies by Design will be in the Sports Hall to engrave your medal with your name & time, cost £2.50.

Car Parking
Parking at the centre will not be available. Please look at the map for available parking .

Spectator Activities
Ards Leisure Centre will be open on race day. The centre has a swimming pool, fitness suite and childrens soft play. Champions Cafe is open for hot and cold food and drinks.
A special rate of £1 per person for swimming and Whacky Whizz-ards soft play will apply from 6pm on race day.
